After digesting all that was said and done at Birmingham, there is NO doubt in my mind that "Our Union needs a massive YES VOTE" to take back to R M to get them back to the table and start negotiating on a real deal, Legally binding protection over a longer period than 3 yrs, a no strings pay deal over inflation, and a totally different approach to the Pensions situation, and not forgetting Work place issues, B&H has got to be addressed in a better way than "setting up a swat team" recognition that this is a Major problem in alot of units between Mngt &staff and if proven to be so ACTION must be taken, but that said CWU HQ has put the onus on local reps to achieve this mandate, A BIG ASK IN SOME UNITS, but as been already stated we must look forward and deal with the issues that confront us now and in the future rather than moan about what has happened in the past, no one person or body of people can get it right all of the time, we are all only human, but if we make mistakes i only hope we learn from them, and if you need any clarity or support call upon your Area/Divisional Reps or Branch for assistance

All Reps can do is take the message back to the workplace and galvanise what support they can in bringing about the YES vote. Everyone knows we are unlikely to get anywhere near the figures attained for the Consultative Ballot now that we are at 'DW's defining moment'. Following on from FT's summation, the only thing missing was any quotation from Shakespeare's King Henry V!
