Stobart have a 20'/40' container fleet that go on trains ....
Now there's an idea - using the rail network to move the mail ...

Re: Royal Mail strike action set for delay (!!!)
the thing is with that strategy though (as pointed out by itv's laura kuenssberg) is that the government/royal mail will outmanoeuver. the union by rushing the sale through BEFORE we get a chance to complete the ballot. she mentioned they are looking at getting it through in a matter of weeks.!! dirty barstools will as well......getting edgey now.SpacePhoenix wrote:From the CWU's point of view it might work out better as it probably means any strikes will be November at the earliest, last year November seemed way busier then December

Strikes will delay the inevitable and ruin people's Christmases we should not take pride in that. Lets get on with this, at least in a privatised company we can get rid of the lazy ones we all complain about. Well done Moya for attending the conference. It's a shame all she got was school ground boos rather than a decent debate.

rather presumptuous aren't you, friend?
In any case Harry Potter wasn't able to attend...
He is the only person I know who can talk to slimy Snakes!
CWU don't suffer fools gladly, and as a free democratic ha ha country, are able to express the contempt we 99.6% feel!
If that's a problem, easy jet can accommodate her flight home, as we say here in the good old Britain, 'If you can't take the heat, Get out the kitchen!

She was booed because she refused to debate or even admit that there was a debate to be had.snoopy777 wrote: Well done Moya for attending the conference. It's a shame all she got was school ground boos rather than a decent debate.
Good.snoopy777 wrote:Strikes will delay the inevitable.
That's the plan.
How does that work?snoopy777 wrote:at least in a privatised company we can get rid of the lazy ones we all complain about.
The real lazy ones are those who refuse to work their paid hours and the present management team have been absolutely useless at addressing that issue since P&M came in 6 years ago and the agreement to utilise all paid hours was made.
So unless you're advocating a complete cull in operational management and replacing them with managers who can actually manage nothing is likely to change is it?
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Think people may have been confused by your posts.snoopy777 wrote:Don't even work for the company any more. No trolling

You say 'we' more than once, implying you work for RM, so the assumption is easy to make.
If you're not trolling, then you are kind of putting across an opinion on a subject that doesn't involve you.
You can have an opinion as a member of the public, but that isn't the one you put across.
You also seem to be severely misinformed. Or at least, ignoring the information that doesn't suit you.
I think you're a troll.
Sometimes, I wish I wasn't a Rep.

You say Moya looked out of her comfort zone but she probably didn't want to be there.BingBong wrote:thanks for your feedback. ive seen images of moya. she looked out of her comfort zone. its difficult what to think. been glued to tv and the hype that surrounds it. what else did u personally make of it. how do you feel?mandelsons_toenail wrote:BingBong wrote:as you was there can i ask what your overall thought on the whole conference was?mandelsons_toenail wrote:Well
I was there today.
Dave ward said not to worry if things slip a couple of days, he said membership lists are spot on, but there a couple of things they are working on with their lawyers after correspondence from rm.
Why is this thread even here, the title is misleading and as usual the CWU are being slated
Amazing
I found moya to be overwhelmed by the whole thing
I found the CWU ready and 99% of the reps there ready
Dave and billy were on good form.
They are very confident of a victory
On BBC Radio 4's 'Any Questions' Billy Hayes tells all that "We invited Moya Greene, the Chief Executive of Royal Mail to come and speak to every single union rep in Birmingham on Wednesday" so Moya probably feared bad publicity had she declined such an invitation.
It would be interesting to know whether Billy or "every single union rep" thought it worthwhile having Moya at that Birmingham meeting

Some people can drive and some can't,some people keep there van clean and some don't . I keep my own lorry and my old van exactly the same as I do my car. Db1100 bumps in he can cause a lot of paperwork and I don't do paperwork so better not have bumps!
