Why should we vote Labour ??

Post by wdo1256 »

Just throwing this one into the pot.

With a possible election coming up, why should we vote for a party which is doing nothing to support us while Leighton is tearing the business apart by bringing in polices that go against family value's, getting a decent wage proctecting future penision.

I think that he is getting ready to cash in on future shares for him and his buddies. While we pay the price.

Are the railways or utilities companies better places for their customers or staff. The only winners are shareholders.

And the Labour party seems to be doing nothing.

Billy Haynes was right The govenment helps Northern Rock while stands idle in a company that it owns.

I have no plans to ever vote Labour again.
They brought in Postcomm who in turn ended the monopoly
before RM was ready.
So Mr Brown will have to look for votes from RM managers & chairmen

I've been a long life Labour supporter since I was able to vote back in 74, times are changing and sadly to say so is the Labour Party beyond all recognition. When the next General Election does come around Labour ain't getting my vote.

In fact I will probably refrain from casting my ballot paper. The CWU in my opinion should immediately and without reservation disassociate itself from paying the political levy to the Labour Party. I would also strongly urge all members of the CWU to fill in the form that is somewhere on this forum and return it to their Branch Secretaries opting out of paying the political levy.

Teebs will probably no where it is.

Agree with everything said thus far, immense pressure by all branches must be placed on the National Executive to withdraw our funding of the Labour Party ASAP.

Here it is! But don't expect to see much support for us, or any other workers in struggle. These people are more interested in slagging off comrades who don't exactly match their view of something two dead Germans wrote in the 1800s and two dead Russians wrote in the 1900s.
