I'm looking for the MDEC as well, as a returner. I'd advise the person who got turned away to just try again, I can't believe they'll have filled every assessment vacancy just yet.

Has anyone- admins or whoever- got the figures for how number this year compare to last?

Also, has anyone spoken to the helpline? I couldn't get through, I'm trying tomorrow.

What's the link to the website?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I found the same job I did last year CHRISTMAS CASUAL - NATIONAL RETURNS CENTRE BELFAST

When applying for job I get so far to this question

Royal Mail Operates 24 hours a day, please indicate your preferred shift from the list below. To note; this is not a guarantee of shift as this will be confirmed at the registration event but wherever possible we will try to accommodate your request.

Earlies (08:00 - 16:00)

only one shift appears on screen

After selecting I get message
You must answer the question to continue.

Any one get is when applying .

Just to update I was able to apply with no problems a few minutes ago today and Status: reads as APPLICATION RECEIVED

Cheers

I botched my application right up! I was a Christmas Casual as well last year.

I signed in using the login I applied with last year, I filled out all of my details, but I made a mistake on one of the screening questions, hitting No instead of Yes to one of the 'right to work in the UK' questions. So I qutomatically rejected my application.

I made another login and submitted the same details and it said the usual "application received" when I sent it. Will this go against me? Will the recruiters check the rejected applications against the received applications? I'm so worried about this :(

Should have a job description on the website for the job you applied for.

Just completed my online test. How long will it take from here to get any more information? All my status says in "Test Finished"?

I've just been on the Angard website and got a reference for Stoke MDEC. Entering it onto the RM website, I was told that " there are currently no opportunities that matched the criteria you used". The code for Stockport MDEC brings results so I don't think it is a faulty refernce. Have I missed the bus? Anyone? :Boo hoo!
