wages for the 12th OCT 07

Post by patrickstar »

hi guys,
i have heard that the Sheffield pay unit could be out on monday/tuesday on next week and the rumour is that we might not get any pay at all on the 12th Oct.Does anybody know any different?.We were told that our mail centre pay unit could input the information locally and thought that the situation would be fine but now we have heard that it wont make any difference because the national pay unit will be out anyway. That means even the people that have worked for royal mail wont get anything either!!!

could be wrong ?

I am willing to put up with that for the sake of the struggle. I know a lot can not, but to see the faces of the strike breakers on Thursday would be a site to behold :funneh :funneh

My guess is that if (and its a big if) they have gone out we would all just get a basic weeks wage and the extras and deductions would come off the following week.

However, is the pay unit a seperate enitity as in its a contracted out part of business . ImageImage

Isn't this more reason to f**k 'em,let them play their childish games.
It's just one of many things they are trying.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

:Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause Absolutely spot on mate. Re the strike breakers, every cloud has a silver lining. One of the handful that went in my office (scabbed every time) was amongst the last group to join RM. So, unthinkable though it is, if these RM proposals go through they have said they will scrap the MTSF agreement as it makes no commercial sense. Cheaper to get rid of/pay off the newbies than those with years of service.
"The headcount will be managed commercially but sensitively". Translated this means :funneh "Last in first out the door". Shows how thick this one is, effectively scabbing yourself out of a job. As I said, every cloud has a silver lining. :dance :dance :dance :dance
