Also 38Degree member...I have just contacted Chloe Smith, via email, as I am a member of the 38Degrees Organisation. The 38 group is in uproar over this proposed bill, as should most of the British electorate. Stifling peoples' voices at a time when they need to be heard most, election time, is an attack on true democracy and no Government who truly believes in democracy should be afraid to hear the British Peoples' voices. If they do, then democracy is not at their heart. This hatched up Government, was not given a clear mandate by the British electorate and as we have seen assaults on organisations that the British people hold close to their hearts, the NHS for example, and were never part of a political manifesto, could become a part of British politics. Coalition Governments could become a part of British politics and it is then when lobby groups need the loudest voice, this coalition government has proven that. Stand up for democracy and contact the MP who has the job of pushing this bill through Parliament, let her know your views. When a political party, like the BNP or UKIP, can have the biggest voice over the British people then it is time for the British people to fight back.
