The Sun will circle individuals in the 'mob' and profile them e.g. "this rep from Swindon is a well known communist who has stuck a picture of Chairman Mao on the dashboard of his revolutionary transport, his vauxhall cavalier."

Public sympathy will be directed towards Moya even though she has been fleecing the UK public for the last few years.

(Apologies to any communist, vauxhall driving reps in Swindon. Any resemblance to actual events or locales or persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental.)

Why would we not accept an opportunity where We allow Royal Mail pay for the release of every rep in the uk to attend a meeting with their union ? In order to secure that having Moya Greene for a slot at that meeting is a small price to pay. The CWU will have the rest of the meeting to speak in private to every unit rep at the same meeting. This has never been done before. I can't believe Royal Mail have agreed this but it is ideal postion for the CWU to speak to every rep.
I bet she said " No Moya, no meeting" !! :chuckle

Well I hope the transport costs are paid up front because I won't be f***ing paying for it to see Moya spout her 'words of wisdom' and watching Dave Ward acting like a love struck puppy again :cuppa
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

What will the union do if 2000 reps get up and walk out leaving Dave sitting up on the podium beside Moya looking silly?
It's never a good idea to give the employer a platform to influence reps, end of story.
It's the wrong message to send out to all concerned including RM.
Now there is a thought, can you imagine the consequenses, Me thinks this is a good idea
NOTICE TO ALL REPS ATTENDING FORUM WHEN MOYA ATTENDS GET UP AND WALK OUT :wave :wave oh s**t no plan B

Lincox wrote:Down to money again Dingo. CWU should be able to stage meetings without the need for it to be financed by Royal Mail with the adage that they get to be represented. CWU meetings outside of Official Meetings with Royal Mail should be solely for the benefit of the members, and as such financed from our subs.
We are told "The Forum has been agreed with the company and normal release arrangements will apply. Any travel or subsistence costs will be proper to CWU Branches." - so RM are allowing time off as is normal for legitimate union business and the CWU are paying travel costs - that surely is NOT being "financed by Royal Mail", or have I got it wrong ?

History tells us that some areas are weaker then others when getting a yes vote. if getting a yes vote means 2000 reps have to listen to Moya for an hour and then get the opportunity to hear and question the leadership then it is worth the pAin.
aye some areas are weaker than others and with the consultative ballot there was a nod to why that is(some branches and reps not up to it).

To give Moya Greene 1 hour of a 4 hour conference doesnt seem to be using the time proportionately and I hope the Bridgford rep gets the first and last question and she exits the stage under a shower of sausage rolls. :chuckle

Why does The Forum have to be agreed by the company if it is not financing it in some form of manner. In fact it is financing it big time by paying the wages of 2000plus reps for a day away from their jobs. Do you not think Lounge Lizard that this is an unusual form of financing from a Chief executive that is imminently going to have a national industrial dispute on her hands

I think a lot will happen between now and the 12th September. A lot of units have summer lapsing plans in place which are coming to an end, the majority revert back to normal resourcing on 2nd September. I'm hearing that management in my area will be saying that the lapsing plans continue indefinately, this will not be accepted and will guarantee reactions. The 2nd September also sees the CWU holding a meeting to declare a timetable for the strike ballot. The 2nd September also sees those crooks in Parliament return from summer hol's, I'm pretty sure there'll be an announcement from them about Privatisation to add fuel to the fire. As for the meeting on the 12th with Moya, if we get there, it is a strange one and the hostility aimed at her may well be a ploy by her to use against us in the press, we need to be careful.

I'm sure the union will save money on transport as some reps will use their car.......like they do every day. :arrrghhh

Its almost as if you think that Moye has an alterier motive in paying for the meeting.

"Look Mr. Cameron, I met them half way, I even paid for the meeting."; said Moya " I've done everything that I can, but there is no reasoning with these ideological driven union leaders, what the real postal worker wants is privatisation. Sack them all and then re-employ them, just like they did in Canada."

"Your right, these poeple will thaks me some day" said David.....

Second thoughts Moya. In this job I have at least three holidays a year, and many lovely weekends with my rich friends at Chequers. If I upset these posties and all those lovely Royal Mail customers they may turn against me in 2015, and I will lose out. I will be stuck in my multi millionaire style mansion in rural Oxfordshire and if wify dear wants three holidays a year I am going to have to put my hand inside them long pockets of that lovely suit and blue tie that I wear on a daily basis. I might even have to go out and get myself some directorships to make ends meet. Sorry Moya, this time I cannot support you any longer, but here,s your flight tickets back to Canada and I,ll get online and get my mate George to send you a nice juicy cheque for all your troubles. On balance, I'll put my money on my take on events.....I could be wrong...but I'm long in the tooth about how these people operate, I hope your right, but i doubt it.
