Hope you all have more luck than me. I'm telling myself its because of my North Wales address it softens the blow.
I hate it when you get told things like that! You could be right though with it being about your address but it would be nice to be told why! Good luck with whatever you choose to do now though - just keep trying at least you passed!

Thanks, I'd prepared myself for the bad news though with the amount of time it had taken to hear anything, still frustrating.... And whats worse about Royal Mail Recruitment is there isnt a human at human resource that you can talk to during the apllication process. Im off to put cellophane over my letterbox for a laugh.

To anyone who is waiting to hear, if you are successful, you will probably be phoned. If not, either emailed or your status will change on the PF website.
So keep signing in and make sure your phone is on and good luck.
congratulations :nana did they give you any idea of a start date?

My application status changed to unsuccessful but I never received an email, txt or anything.
Sorry to hear that, mate. That is a real shitty way for them to go about it too! How long after your interview did it take for the status to change?

It's now over 2 weeks, and I still haven't heard anything. Status till says 'interview booked'.
Sorry shapeshift, missed your reply.

I passed the online assessment but didn't get invited to interview.

Could be an age thing (50)?

I applied for an aviation related position recently in Cheshire and wasn't even shortlisted due to 'lack of experience'. If they had of read a bit further down my application they would have noticed I'd been doing the exact same job for the past 10 years at one of the worlds busiest international airports. Go figure!

The pay cut off is the 3rd sunday of every month usually so if you start at the beginning of the month then you will get a couple of weeks pay,but if you start just after the cut off (this months cut off was sunday18th) then you will have to wait till the end of the following month.I hope I did not confuse you
