Spoke to someone last night who had been unsuccessful and IIRC said they had been sent a text or e-mailed to let them knowshapeshift wrote:Is there anyone on here that received an email/text saying they had NOT got the job? Just wondering if they bother to notify the unsuccessful applicants or not.
Thanks in advance

My application status changed to unsuccessful but I never received an email, txt or anything.shapeshift wrote:Is there anyone on here that received an email/text saying they had NOT got the job? Just wondering if they bother to notify the unsuccessful applicants or not.

They appear to be like my previous employers human resource dept - neither human or resourceful ;)
Good luck to all those who've been selected so far, well done

Re: ParcelForce Chorley Vacancies
I was interviewed in that batch of interviews and got one of the jobs so it suggests to me that you were unsuccessful.qads999 wrote:This is taking really long, had my interview on 15th July and it still saying interview booked, do you guys think this is good news or bad
It is possible that you are on a "reserve list" however, as other people interviewed around that time have been told that they were unsuccessful so they may be keeping your application open in case people drop out or fail the security checks.

Re: ParcelForce Chorley Vacancies
Has anyone who was interviewed on or around 30th July heard anything yet?
Ive seen people have posted on here that they havent heard anything and they were interviewed earlier than I was but I have also seen people who have been offered a position who were interviewed around the same time as them, confusing or what.....
I phoned the HR number on the back of an old payslip from when I did casual work but its an automated response and just says to log onto the Royal Mail site to check status of application.

Yeah, who did your interview, the guy I spoke to was Billy who is one of the Night Shift managers.
What time was your interview we might have been on the same one.

I stumbled across this forum whilst looking for any info on interviews so others might not be aware of it.shapeshift wrote:I've yet to see anyone who was interviewed the same sort of time we were who has said if they've got the job or not. Good point.
I used this forum to complain about Angard a couple of years ago, but couldn't remember my log in details so had to set up new account. Would have thought if there are a lot of people that are still waiting to hear, at least a few more would have found this site. See what next week brings anyway. Good luck mate[/quote]
think it may be down to the fact that they are putting everyones start dates back. the first batch were due to start this monday and i was down to be the next batch starting the week after but have now been put back to the 9th of september. Maybe they are are just holding on until they have some definite start dates for people. If people are starting in groups of 10-20 there will probably be quite a few start dates coming up as far as i can make out on here there have only been 2 groups to get start dates so far which is only 20 - 40 people so who knows especially with only christmas only around the corner. Also with the start dates moving back some people are bound to drop out as they will get other job offers it will be about 6 weeks for me from passing my interview to starting which is quite a long time and probably too long for some.
The main thing is they havent said no yet which means they are still keen on you.
good luck to you though

Re: ParcelForce Chorley Vacancies
I hope you are right Phiz and that they are working through the backlog and new start dates.
the other thing I was thinking is they might be keeping a list of names back because they will start recruiting for christmas casuals soon also so they could contact those to see if they are interested. Personally I know that xmas casuals dont get taken on permy anymore at RM, they will tell you there is the possibility to build your hopes up and make you work hard but then nothing comes of it, the other thing is the floatation on the stock market also, they might want to hold back start dates until after that date so they dont have to issue free shares to new starters. Am I thinking to deep into it, could it be thatthey are just busy?

I had my interview on the 1st August, they told me I would have an email in 7 to 10 days, I'm still waiting, hoping no news is good news! Looks like lots of us still waiting. I was told that start dates would be from 22nd of September onwards.adamc39 wrote:I wish my status would change to something other than interview booked , I had an interview on 5th n still not heard anythingdave_s wrote:My application status changed to unsuccessful but I never received an email, txt or anything.shapeshift wrote:Is there anyone on here that received an email/text saying they had NOT got the job? Re: ParcelForce Chorley Vacancies
I got an email today saying "We are please to inform you that you have passed your recent assessment/interview. Unfortunately on this occasion we are unable to offer you the position you applied for. "
Hope you all have more luck than me. I'm telling myself its because of my North Wales address it softens the blow.
