Perfectly fine as long as you separate them before posting.redneck wrote:Stella102 wrote:ok get one that opens up and put all the rest inside or fold them over so its essentially one piece. I'm guessing that as a new posty you are part time. You really need to check, but it's unlikely you are meant to be prepping door to doors anyway. In my office all part timers have their door to doors prepped for them. Usually anyway..postiewhite wrote:Hi.

Hello Newbie, just do what TrueBlue suggested - prep them into the frame (before or after the mail) then deliver.
I am surprised people are giving you any other type of advice. D2Ds should really not be delivered separately from another bundle - it makes things difficult especially when you have fiddles ones or have up to about 4-6d2ds.
Furthermore, D2D is now classed as part of the mail - many part-timers have them prepped into the frame already and many FT staff even prep them (sometimes all the rows and columns in one go) beforehand and simply take where they are going for the day.
It should not be a concern, really! Columns better than rows and writing the number of the address of the first d2d where there is no corresponding letter.

its not allowed. The Corporate customers complain when you deliver a nested one to one of their staff/spies.Stella102 wrote:and what is wrong with nesting?

Nesting is fine for prepping and carrying door to doors with other mail - they usually separate as they fall through a letterboxStella102 wrote:cool i never knew that, everyone at out office does it including the union rep! shows u how much we know! manager obviously turns a blind eye, anyhow good to know!TrueBlueTerrier wrote:its not allowed. They definitely separate when they lob them in the recycling bin.
