Backlog!

So, say we are out until next Wed.

Anyone able to estimate just how much and how long the backlog will take? Bearing in mind, we're back out again a week Monday!

If we all follow up this strike action with doing our jobs properly tho the backlog should never clear for all the non stamped mail, until the union has an agreement.

Its not just about the backlog ...once the mail is backlogged there will be rolling on day strikes in each function of Rm ...this will absolutely cripple RM as we saw in the summer, and did in fact bring RM to the table . If your not sure how a rolling strike works and how effective it is ask around and you will see .regards ...keep the faith

Oh, i know how effective the rolling action is. I was out last time that particular action took place. From extremely heavy days to extremely light days. There was one day that i'd never seen so little mail before!

Very rough average of 250,000 items per day in a D/O (that is rough!), add it up per number of days. That equals...over a million items or more.

The first couple of days should be ok. There is no backlog until it is collected. Mon the easy days!
