Is the cleaner an ex-postie?
When would they have time to learn the IPS?

I thought most cleaners worked in several offices.
How do they fit IPS/delivery/lapsing into what is a tight schedule?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

I'd actually really ask why are Managers doing the same ... and the Union do ef all about it.

But it is a novelty having a cleaner doing a Managers job. Maybe there is scope there?

BTW: Our cleaner , not only does a great job; she is a lovely and vibrant person
Probably practice for the managers, when we get privatised I can't see whoever takes us over having so many managers, probably a shift manager (and an MCM in MCs), or a DOM in DOs and all the rest will probably be turned into Team Leaders and will probably be in effect just normal OPGs with whatever the leadership allowance is.

Does ROMEC do work for other companies or is it just for RM?

Perhaps a call to IB or Area rep to check. Doesn't sound right to me.

Well, I don't really mind - she seems to do it just as well as any of the other posties lol

Problem is if shes doing OPG work its taking work away from posties in your office.

It probably seems nice, her helping maybe means some pressure is off the rest of you. But maybe its covering the fact that you need more hours on the IPS or you have some shirkers not doing their fair share.

In my opinion it's not an acceptable option. It just sounds a way of managers hiding problems

Our cleaner has does deliveries occasionally with a HCT.............

Supposedly they could ask her because she was supplied to RM by an agency, not Romec. Or some bullshit.

Problem is, our's covers the PHG/Locker at night.

RM/Office Rule says: If a collection van breaks down, PHG/Locker person must lock up and finish/complete collection. Collect driver etc...etc...

Difficult, if the person covering the PHG/Locker doesn't drive...
