Last 3 days we have in HD1-5 been getting more BD1-5 mail from Leeds than normal , and even yorkies full of mail for other offices.

Re: Leeds diverts to Preston
I thought we were in the quiet month of August. They never plan for this transistion period. At Jubilee MC we are diverting our 2nd class to the Mount for 6months at least. Apparently all MC have a back up MC in case it goes wrong apparently JMC's back up is Southampton and JMC is HWDC's. It's to do with how the ILSMs are lined up. I got told this by my Area Distribution Rep when I asked what happens it goes wrong? You'd think Swindon or Gatwick would be a better back up but obviously it's more cost efficient to send it back and forth along the M3. When are Royal Mail going to grow some bollox and appear on Undercover Boss? It would be interesting watching a senior manager struggling to keep up with the standards that they set or WCM?

Not to sound like a typical part-timer but this all means more overtime, no?

It'll be interesting to see how / if Bristol copes when Gloucester finally closes early next year .I can see there being a load of diverts ,probably going to Swindon.

Correct, Gloucester MC is currently Swindon's back up. When Gloucester closes, where then?

That's funny, sounds familiar.oldpostie wrote:'Send them anywhere just clear the floor and pretend we're clear '
Except, the DOM hides the mail in a room that is secure, and believes it unlikely to be checked.
Sometimes, I wish I wasn't a Rep.
