I am keeping eye open for it just in case it come on offer. What the chance of EVR for someone in 41 with 9 years in the job full time. (Delivery)

You wouldn't get EVR Darren, you're too young to get your pension early. It's unlikely you would get Voluntary Redundancy in Deliveries, but if you did it wouldn't be much. at 46 with 9 years service it would only be 43.125 weeks money. So unless you've got another job lined up or win the Lottery you would probably be on Job Seekers Allowance once you're down to your last £8,000. JSA is cut above that amount, and if you've got more than £16k you get nothing, as I understand it.
Because I've got a RM pension and VR lump sum I can't claim any benefits, until I reach 65 and get my State Retirement Pension. That is if the Government don't change the rules by then.
