Apart from her basic salary for 2012-13, Canadian-born Ms Greene received £200,000 in lieu of a pension, £399,000 under a short-term incentive plan and £127,000 in contractual benefits, including medical insurance and return flights to Canada.

Come on, let's all have one of these £400K 'short term incentive plans' as well! Wonder how many bags she delivered to earn that? And some help buying my house wouldn't go amiss either.

Forget about the 'she stole it' line as she didn't steal it. The RM remuneration committee gave it to her, because they are nice that way. Obviously they are not wanting her to actually pay for her own housing costs because in all likelihood they don't pay for theirs either as these career-directorship types award each other bonuses all the time - a very charitable lot.

What we should really note is the fact that she has been told to pay back 120k by Vince Cable but the Remuneration Committee has at the same time given her an extra 370k in her pay packet. They are playing Cable for a chump by paying her all of the 120k she has been told to pay back plus some. The RMRC are telling Cable he is an asshole essentially. They are untouchable these types, not even the Business Secretary can exercise meaningful control of this Government owned company. What a farce. What a bunch of immoral undemocratic scum.

Just like MP's. They have that 'job' which they work so hard at they've just been awarded a large pay rise by an 'independent' committee. Add on all other benefits, free cars/drivers, expenses, discounted meals/beer on site a parliament etc.
Then, a majority at least, have a number of directorships or advisory roles/non-executive positions on boards from which they can earn hundreds of thousands of pounds, a few have earned over a million in recent years. (I use the word 'earned' very loosely ).
All totally unrelated to them being MP's and the influence they COULD exert in parliament.
