Ex Service Personnel

Post by Fluke »

Are there any Ex Service personnel on here who transfered their pension to Royal Mail after leaving the forces? If so, where do they stand with regards to that pension being eroded along with RM's? I kept my service pension separate, although I had the chance to transfer it, but was just wondering what problems others might expect.

Fluke, dean41 and tasam.

I left the H. M. Forces way back in Jan 1977 pensions I am afraid never entered my mind then. I was just wondering what Force, Regiment or Corps you all served in?

I am ex 1st Battalion King's Own Scottish Borderers (25th Foot) (Leven's Regiment) now sadly amalgamated with the 1st Bn Royal Scots. Now known as The Royal Scots Borderers 1st Battalion the Royal Regiment of Scotland.

Transfering your service pension to Royal Mail is as danerous as leaving Leighton or Crozier loose in charge of your house or wife. Be prepared to work now until you are 75. Very scarey !
