One of the comments on that Lincolnite story claims to be from the step-daughter of the person who died:

We appreciate the messages of condolence posted, but please understand this story was posted and printed despite repeated requests not to, this is not a human interest/health story as the lincolnite have marketed it, and as it reads is far from the truth and another example of press intrusion on to a families private grief.

It's obviously a tragedy for this guy's family, friends and colleagues regardless of what actually happened

it is so sad, maybe the rounds should be done earlier or later in the day, It is very hot out there for all outdoor workers, builders etc we are well provided for kit wise so make sure hats and suncream are on everyone and keep drinking the water. I feel so sorry for his family and friends. RIP.

In The Mail they are saying this poor guy was an indoors worker at the DO, I'm guessing callers office. So why would you order a guy out to do heavy work who wasn't used to it on the hottest day of the year? Negligence. I wouldn't be surprised if the HSE made a ruling on this saying indoors workers cannot suddenly be sent out in these exceptional conditions to do heavy work that their bodies are not used to. Condolences to Grahams family and friends.
