Went to the Hellmail link and what is there on that page but the undernoted ad - think its says it all about Hellmail and its attitude towards trade unionists fighting to preserve their jobs and a decent standard of living and last but not least a decent service for the public because unlike AL we are interested in them.

You should get off your backsides and find out what this dispute is really about. It's quite obvious you have your own agenda to blacken the reputation of thousands of hard working people. I challenge you to accompany me during my working day and maintain your views afterwards. It's obvious you have been set up by Leighton and Crozier to do the dirty work you are guilty of.

Postmanchat is the most popular - if you want to split hairs. By far.
I don't work for RM and have no connection to it (none of us do) but
we are representative of the groundswell of opinion outside RM. Write
about your perspective and send it in. We can only balance editorial
if people 'get off their backsides' and tell us about it. We do
publish them - regularly.
I have spent time with lots of posties, both strikers and
non-strikers and on picket lines too. I know only too well what
you're up against and why you're fighting. No one on hellmail berates
postal workers for that. That said, few on Hellmail think the CWU has
handled things any better than RM - its a real mess. Personally I was
against deregulation and was very vocal about it. I appreciate that
its not easy to judge a book by its cover - certainly not in
journalism but you do have an opportunity to put down how you feel
about all the changes and right that you should chap.
In terms of 'bias', and it comes up a lot, one could argue that RMC
was also biased. It doesn't have anything positive to say about RM
and there are many - I talk to lots of posties who tell me what they
DO like about working for RM. It has a great workforce but you know
as well as I do that the government isn't going to budge an inch on
all this and at the moment its tough going if you're on a picket
line. Neither of us have all the answers. I wish I had.

Whilst Hellmail has also received email from some postal workers keen to bite back at public opinion and state their case, none have made any suggestions as to how the situation can be turned around other than higher wages and preservation of their working conditions without change. Unfortunately the maths don't add up. Royal Mail will be unable to compete or guarantee the future for its workforce unless it adapts and modernises.

"Simply trying to use strike action as a bargaining tool when we're under so much pressure from competition is tantamount to shooting yourself in the foot" said one postal manager. "We simply have to move on. Childish tantrums won't help keep all our jobs. The change has already happened. We have to get on with it now".

Shut the f**k up Mr White, get a life outside slating the postie and most importantly, avoid using that awful site you obviously enjoy frequenting. The letter to you yesterday by a member on here was absolutely spot on, yet you've just glossed over it, blatantly ignoring the truths within it. Like most of your ilk (in the media circus) during this industrial action, you pick at pieces that will be scrutinsed by the general public to make a normal, hard-working postie look like a lazy, incumberant militant s**t.

Some of the stuff you have written, without proof i suspect ie " a manager said" is nothing short of breathtaking and damned lies. I dare say some of it is bordering on slander.

Move away from the second rate reporting. Get some proper facts, get out and about and find facts and most importantly, please now refrain from upsetting the postal worker and customer with the absoulte spittal we are reading.
