speaking of ''whistleblowing'', there is a few in our office talking about it. as of late there has been a lot of instances where people cannot complete their delivery, and the management are asking us to 'stand down' our packets in order to deliver ALL mail. now call me cynical,,,,but arnt we meant to be primarily a PARCEL company managing a letters decline?? some of these packets are left for nearly a week if they dont have anybody to cover them on overtime. inevitabley, they are left until a tuesday eventually comes round and we end up doing them anyway!! people have paid good money to have these parcels delivered and are rightly waiting for them to arrive as soon as possible.,,,they are certainly not waiting for their junk mail to arrive. when i am asked by people on my delivery about a parcel,,some of whom ive known for years, i feel totally shyte having to lie for management. shouldnt be happening. its just not working and they know it. why cant they leave the junk mail and do the packets?

They do this in my office a lot, they want us to take the letters so we can be seen delivering. Also packets are easier to cover on overtime than a bag or two from a loop.
