Strike action is not the answer .... work to rule .... is the answer. Well done Basingstoke ... and now sit on table with management and dialogue would be the solution.

About 200 staff from the delivery office in Priestley Road met with a representative from the Communication Workers Union (CWU) today, and agreed to finish the work to rule by not coming in on time, not taking their breaks and not finishing on time,be it by flying again,cutting corners or grabbing the docket.

Val Bodden, a spokeswoman for Royal Mail, said: "Royal Mail can confirm that we were dealing with staffing issues at Basingstoke delivery office, resulting in managers going out on some deliveries to ensure that customers receive their mail,but now the mugs have gone back to their old ways much like the majority of offices that do this throwing toys out of pram thingy."

"Royal Mail is fully committed to the process of trying to f**k over the concerns of postal workers based in Basingstoke or anywhere else to be honest,by continuing to ignore the national jointly-agreed framework with the CWU."

Val added "We're not overly worried,things usually go back to same o same o in the end anyway....trust me,and ask our Sal as well,they always do"

A postal worker who did not want to be named could not give us a statement as he......or was it a she.....was flying out of the door.
