It is.
If a part-timer works over their contracted hours it's paid hourly so it's an hourly supplement.

well I apologise for my ignorance of that fish. I remember when it was introduced that some big cheese from the union explained to some part timers that if it was paid on a level basis, then the full timers would have to take roughly about a five pound hit from the supplement, which didn't bother me in the least. so we were under the impression it was just added to our pay as a fixed amount. so if a full timer works say 10 hrs overtime, does their supplement increase by the hourly rate x 10 ?

Yes - until they have worked 39 hours/week.

EDit: I thought he meant part-timer

Don't apologise davey.
The comms surrounding the delivery supplement were piss poor.

No.
Once you hit 39 hrs you can't get any more delivery supplement,full-time or part-time.

I can never see how anyone can argue this D2D delivery supplement debate. You are paid an hourly rate and if they want to ask you to do D2D in that time why should you be paid extra?.I am not a great union fan but getting the delivery supplement was a bonus as surely everyone could see D2D money would go.Coming into this job there are a lot of good perks like delivery supplement and paid meal breaks we should be grateful for and should concentrate on getting overtime rates up and getting the correct ratio of full timers to part timers that we agreed which would make everyones job easier.!

BT2010 agreement has cost me about £20 a week, every week, for the last three years.

Thats £20 X 42 weeks (adjusted ) X 3 years = £2880

Winners & losers as Dingo says....

:confused

Ohh yeah, and CWU subs have increased too.

of course it can be argued. there are a lot of points for and against d2d into the workload. if the union had of told rm to stick them up their arse, do you reckon they would of said ''ok, then right, if you don't do them we wont have them at all''. they will be a loss to the workforce and royal mail......bollocks. theres too much money to be made from them for rm to let them go. they wanted them done for nothing. you say why should we be paid extra. because it is extra work. you can only get so much done in each hour we are paid. there is more d2d failures now ever, now that they are in the workload. unlimited could mean an extra 6 or 7 thousand items into you're workload,,,even more. you're not a great union fan. fair enough, but, if it wasn't for this union you would not be doing this job for the money you are currently getting. royal mail would now have a casual workforce and be paying minimum wage. the union has fought for years to get these work conditions.

obviously there is that s**t side. but we have 6 months full pay sick leave, more time off, paid breaks. if it wasn't for the union we would be getting the same as angard. poor cunse.

Those "perks" have been in for a long long time when the union had some clout and was taken seriously. So lets look at the latest debacle - Royal Mail make an offer to the membership via the union which is duly rejected and quite rightly so - Royal Mail then have the audacity to approach the membership, well all employees really, with the same offer that has already been rejected - that shows a complete lack of respect for the CWU - on the strength of that alone the CWU should hold a ballot.
