and Pension left alone - if my figures are right even a 6% annual pay rise won't cover the losses on my deferred wages.

It's not in the CWU version.
You have to go hunting through the RM version of the deal to find it.
*In 2013-14, in addition to a 2.6% base pay increase there would be a non-consolidated lump sum of £300 (pro-rata for part-timer employees). It will be paid in December 2013. This is subject to a successful transaction before the end of the year. This payment will be forfeited in offices where industrial action takes place between now and the date of payment. The base pay and lumpsum combined equal an average pay increase of 3.7%.

Ah, great. Thanks.

Not to state the super-obvious but this is (a) the current management saying they won't be around after the sale, and (b) washing their hands of whatever happens then. Or, in other words, offering us what they feel to be enough dough to shut us up.

We are going to get screwed again with a worse deal than what's on the table now. There's no way on earth the CWU are going to do any better than this, my wife is a teacher and has had a 1% pay rise in the last 4 years.

How can the CWU ask for better overtime rates when they were the f*cking idiots who negotiated that cr*p in the first place?

Our goal should always be to maximise basic pay, and the offer isn't going to get any better than this. It's around a £35 a week pay rise by 2015, 2 years time.

I don't give a flying monkey what's agreed with regards to workloads etc because I don't work over anyway. Once that finish time is here I'm off home.

An unchanged pension isn't going to happen.
Any pay rises above 3/3.5% aren't going to happen. 6% is fantasy.

It's 2010 all over again, the CWU will end up with a worse deal than what's on offer now.

I know that Flyer - he asked what I would accept - that's a suggestion. Are you we actually going to get it - No.

The basic pay rise is probably fair, its the strings - no strike, no clarity on bonus (is it £300 total or £200 + this new bonus), attaching acceptance of the pension change to the pay deal (it should be separate), making the revisions this year part of the pay deal without any clarity on what if we don't and its not our fault. Also making it a 3 year deal - after the BT2010 saga why are they going there again as there is no doubt it will be watered down when we are privatised.

Hows that for starters :chuckle :chuckle

:chuckle :chuckle See even your response shows the lack of clarity in this - This years Bonus should be £100 Xmas + £100 from the Colleague share fudge agreement last year so is this £300 an extra £100 on top of those 2 meaning we get £500 - or is it £100 on top to equal £300 - and if we strike do we lose all of it or just the extra that's part of this offer. :nervous :nervous :nervous

Average pay rises are running at around 2.5% so what's on offer financially is...average.
It's not a fortune,it's 8.6% over 3 years, that's only about 0.5% per year better than BT2010 and the company is allegedly on a far better financial footing than it was in 2010.

Only the first year is guaranteed.
**Base pay increases in years two and three will be subject to review if inflation is below 2.3% or above 3.3%.
If we have a new employer by then and inflation is below 2.3% as it is predicted to be we could end up with much less.

The strings tied to accepting the pension reforms and the future "strategy" which nobody even knows are horrendous.
The lump sum bribe with no industrial action is purely to allow privatisation through without a fight.
The whole deal is mutton dressed as lamb flyer, don't be fooled by the pound signs.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Why do the posties only get £300, but managers get £2500???
Sorry, but at least half should be offered. And its strings attached again....reward the staff who help make the money. Isn't that the way it should be?? :hmmmm

Bt2010 agreement was paid out in full and that had inflation tie ins too. We today have a new governor of the Bank of England and I bet you he is not sure which way things will go. If you now the answer to inflation you are a mind reader or very clever person fishtank

Or is £100 Christmas bouns £100 colleague share and £100 of the £200 we are owed from the last payment of the lump sum which we in our office did not get!. The pay offer is an insult to us all.

Not in every unit - there are literally thousands of Posties who have not been paid it yet despite meeting the trigger points.
