Since 2007 we have had..
2007 4%
2008 1.4%
2009 0%
2010 2%
2011 1.4%
2012 3.5%
2013 ?%
I don't think you have factored in the loss of d2d payments and now the fact we are deliverying more than double what we used to

Re: Consultation Ballot and pay talk.
members were told to agree by the union at meetings i still cringe about it now.
but what annoys me to this day is the amount of members who did not bother to vote.
since that day i have never voted for a london canidate for the national executive or postal executive
my votes now go to any other area.we were sold down the river its as easy as that.

I would imagine they were probably told the same thing all over the country to be honest, not just in London.north london driver wrote:members were told to agree by the union at meetings i still cringe about it now.

On the issue of pay would you or anyone on here know what salaries the CWU leadership command?

Not just the pay, which is close to or maybe over £100,000 each by now, it's the other little perks like loans, expenses - overdue holiday money to the tune of £29,000 - they all add up to a nice little earner - oh did I mention the final salary pension..........something you and I no longer enjoy. Yes your terms and conditions are safe in their hands.mickeymacca wrote:I would imagine they were probably told the same thing all over the country to be honest, not just in London.north london driver wrote:members were told to agree by the union at meetings i still cringe about it now.

that's an awful lot of money, how on earth do they find the time to spend it with all those meetings to attend......dvbuk55 wrote:Not just the pay, which is close to or maybe over £100,000 each by now, it's the other little perks like loans, expenses - overdue holiday money to the tune of £29,000 - they all add up to a nice little earner - oh did I mention the final salary pension..........something you and I no longer enjoy. They don't actually spend their own money, they salt that away for a rainy day in case they get deposedmickeymacca wrote:that's an awful lot of money, how on earth do they find the time to spend it with all those meetings to attend......dvbuk55 wrote:Not just the pay, which is close to or maybe over £100,000 each by now, it's the other little perks like loans, expenses - overdue holiday money to the tune of £29,000 - they all add up to a nice little earner - oh did I mention the final salary pension..........something you and I no longer enjoy. JUST 4 Xs IN CONSULTATIVE BALLOT HAVE HIT WHERE IT HURTS
In direct response to our Consultative Ballot we can also advise of two important developments from Royal Mail. Firstly, the company has initiated legal proceedings against the Union in relation to the Boycott. We can advise that following a Court hearing today after Royal Mail initiated legal proceedings; the Union has given an undertaking that we would not call Industrial Action over the next 7 days in reliance on the Consultative Ballot, which was not planned anyway. On this basis the full hearing has been adjourned until Friday 28th June.
Secondly, the company has confirmed in writing an offer for a 3 year Pay Deal linked to previously rejected pension proposals and other associated conditions over the future. The company has insisted this is a closed offer for 7 days which means we cannot divulge any more detail at this stage. NOW YOU TALKING RM.
