The office i work in we have one complete tosser in charge - and one alcoholic, the big Bully man can be found most days throwing mail around like a 5 year old kid, swearing at staff then giving a talk about not swearing 30 seconds later. We get daily threats about just about everything and realy childish stuff like "if anyone cuts off ill prep/sort test them and come around their walk with them" Our work time learning sessions are just work time lets give the postmen some s**t over anything no matter how childish it is session

The other tosser stinks of ale 90% of the time - and spends 90% of his work day doing miss sorts - great way of saving money that Royal Mail

seriously i could go on and on about the childish unproffesional w*****s that run our office - but im thinking is it like this everywhere? Do Royal Mail just spew out Childish Bullys for all offices or do we have the very sharp end of the line?

We've got the DUM and one regular screw. We also have a couple of acting screws. The DUM started as a cadet, and unlike the other lads we had at the time wasn't a fun loving sort of kid. He would sit in the canteen every break time poring over papers about postal rates, weights, the history of the Post Office and rules and regulations. Sixteen years of age, and already a sad sod. He used to turn into work with his peaked cap and tie looking like a Spanish falangist. When he was an acting manager, he came under the spell of our then DUM, Fred Elliot. He now carries out every gesture that Fred did and every turn of phrase. He was made DUM at another nearby office. Into the breech stepped Bananaman.
He was a former union rep at another office about nine miles away before becoming an acting screw there. Then we got him! No idea how to talk to anyone, he had to be told to ease off by Fred Elliot. In time, Fred Elliot got promoted (and after only 25 years too!) and Bananaman got the job. One slimy bastard! However, the highly strung fool couldn't hack it as DUM, so back came the Spanish falangist. It's great! Both of them ape Fred Elliot's every word and deed. All his old stock phrases, his temper tantrums, everything.
Fred Elliot has been moved from another office for bullying, and was sent on a course after insulting a woman driver.
All in all, a right set of clowns. All they need is the red noses and size 25 shoes. It's like Billy Smart's circus when the three of them get going. As for the acting screws, one is a proven liar and the other thinks he's Fulton McKay. If brains were dynamite, they wouldn't have enough between them to blow off a Spanish falangist cap.
The Industrial Workers of the World. The union whose members never scab!

I think you'll find that in most occupations, the position of manager, supervisor, etc, is more likely to be held by a total asshole, been like that for
centuries, and here in Britain, is in itself an institution. :Very Happy

What a ridiculous question to ask!!!!
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
