Howdy y'all from Sales

Post by bonehead_2002 »

Bonehead here from Sales... want to say that this nonsense is telling our customers to try the TNT/DX/SMS's and once they've gone, that's it!

You may think you work at the coalface but let me tell you when you're sitting in front of a procurement director saying that they are going to "trial" £8m worth of 2nd class just to "test" the market it ain't bloody funny!

Also, unlike the rest of us in RM you still have access to the MTSF rules which is very generous compared to the Miners, Rover Grp and some Public sector agencies.

And this pay claim is another smoke-screen, do you think you should get more cash than a nurse who works in A&E in London on a Saturday night suffering abuse and harassment???

And before anyone starts on me about being anti-union, I have always been part of the union of wherever I've worked: Dept of Environment=CSPA; BT=NCU; Parcelforce=UCW; RM=CMA!

So get real lads and end this nonsense before we all end up like RailTrack and sold off for a £1 to DHL because that's what will happen and it almost did back in 2001 when we were losing a £1m per day.

Look around the site and read what posties think before repeating Royal Mail propaganda please.

No smoke screen under the proposals I will loose £30 a week on Door to Doors and get back about £8 take home. That is not fair I work hard for my money and met all targets given to me why should I have my pay cut.

The proposals include getting rid of MTSF.

The CMA isn't a union mate. It's a right-wing pressure group which exists to scab whenever the real workers strike.

I only speak for myself :no no Mr Moderator as I've said, I see clients every week who don't pander to the Daily Mail school of knee-jerk reaction but look at their own businesses being put at risk.

A question for everyone, if your gas/electric supplier would only guarantee supply for some of the time, wouldn't you change company to ensure that your wife and kids didn't freeze in winter?

Maybe that's the part of the problem, I can accept that RM management may not be the best but there are some of us who still need (and want) a job at the end of this. And if no job is available, then I want the best redundancy package going to take away with me.

To IWW: A presume you would want to go back to secondary picketing? I know the CMA isn't hardcore but since I can't join any other postal union as a manager then it's the best I've got! Also I can only be called a scab if I break MY union lines!

Don't you believe it. You cross a union picket line, you're a scab. You and your sort might like to imagine the definition somehow changed under Thatcher and Bliar, but you're a scab.

IWW: I think I hit a nerve as I've been doing your job on strike days, and actually, it ain't that hard!

I've done outward sorting (letters/packets), Special Dels, Collections... all you've done is exposed the mythical job of the postman as a easy job which really doesn't exactly need the high pay packets you demand.

I'd like to see you do my job for a week without losing half of it to DSA! lol :funneh

Peace bruv!

You don't have a job. You're a parasite. The sooner you learn that, the better. You rely on us for your living, so a bit of respect, you blackleg scum.

IWW: just had a look at the CNT Youtube video... now I really do despair of you and your ilk... you're an anarchist!! lol

I feel I'm back in the 80's with Rik and Vivyan in the Young Ones!! IWW, are you for real??? :nana

Do me a favour, here you are moaning about RM managers but at least we aren't a bunch of gun-wielding crypto-fascists pretending that "we're for the people", it's people like YOU who are the real SCAB within RM as you would put your self-interest before your colleagues and the customers who pay our wages!

I bet you think Putin is a great and moderate leader! The most dangerous thing about you is that you actually believe what rubbish you spout.

I’m sure you’re one of the 2% of fools  who think that BT will be re-nationalised!

ROCKY: Thank you for your welcome.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Now I know most posties are smart and intelligent but IWW & POSTMAN much be watching too much CBeebies while on strike action as last time I looked the CWU rejected 2.5% pay rise offer from RM so therefore, this dispute is (in part) about PAY!

Ultimately my friends it's all about money otherwise you'd move to Cuba or work down in Charing Cross serving cups of tea to the homeless (which is a worthwhile activity by the way). So drop you're socialist indignation and get real, coz I'm sure you have to pay your mortgage or council rent like everyone else!

Oh yeah, I did get a bonus last year, it was about £8,500 (b4 tax). And I can see the steam coming out if IWW ears but that bonus covered for the year 06/07: 42 nights away from home; leaving home at 5:30am and getting home after 9:00pm (with no docket allowed, you lucky people!!); 27,512 miles driven on a account portfolio worth £35,000,000 to RM retail.

Now £8.5k sounds like "woohoo, party time!" but is actually worth against my accounts of 0.0002428%... go on, work it out AND my pay rise was 2.5% too!

So you see, we are all in the same boat... lol
