i'm sure it's about 500 items in 20 mins which is 25 items per minute, obviously depending on the fitting you are working at, ie. 48 or 56 box fitting.

as said allready there in no nationally agreed standard for the whole walk being prepped its only the 1 minute test that was agreed.

It is 25 LETTERS per min for ips. I'd love to see anyone knock out 25 letters per min on the RM2000. We work to approx 12-15 per mins letters and flats.

Have to disagree with you brother cruisey the test and only agreed test is a one minute test in which you were expected to sort 25 or more item in a RM2000 frame.

man, I am a reserve, I also do overtime on Friday nights prepping walks.

worst night ever? I had 5 hours, and six walks to prep, including firms, all the mech turned up 4 hours into my stint.

not possible.

The walk I have done every saturday for 5 years, I know inside out, I can do that easypeay, they've taken me off of that now. makes sense eh?

who gives a rats ass what Royal Mail want......just take it easy.....don't rush but don't take the piss either. Do your 90 min prep then speak to line manger and ask for what he wants you to do, tie up whats prepped or keep prepping and take less out..... let the gaffers make the choice.Its bonus that they want you earn for them anyhow.Make them make the decisions.

In 10 years i have never been walk prep tested and have only had one sorting test.Put that together with the three days training i had when i joined i would say royal fail have invested fcuk all in me.
