No. I'd be very disappointed, but I wouldn't leave the CWU and I wouldn't advise anyone else to leave it either. That's what the scum bag DUM's and screws want.

and just to add spoke to my branch sec/area rep and they said that IA will continue until theres a deal done to be voted on by the members
also the CWU were the honourable party here, it was RM who pulled out and dropped this current deal in our laps at the eleventh hour which has brought about this current situation

It's not gonna happen, the PEC have made that clear.
But hypothetically if it did happen, then no i still wouldn't resign.
There is still a good voice at local level.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

They wont agree to another period of calm. its not gonna happen. This is the make or break point for both sides. The pressure is well and truly on rm to sort this out. headline news all over tv and radio. period of calm did catch us off guard slightly but cwu leaders have come back with a purpose. And rm's proposal was leaked as a result of period of calm. They kept that well and truly tucked away. best thing that happened that being leaked. lots of people at our place came out today who scabbed 1st time round. but IF something similar happened i would not resign. who do you trust? Dave ward DGS who's been in the job and union over 30years and who was walking the streets with a pouch 10years ago OR leighton/crozier the modern day pirates who are here to rape and pillage as quickly as possible? well done all strike supporters...

though have to say,saw fat billy hayes on c4 news last nite, was very disapointed with him, just repeated the same lines,3 or 4 times, never truly addressed the issues imo
