Here also WCM has meant the end of Coffee on IPS,however we can have water as long as it is in a sports type bottle to stop spills. Also we are now allowed Coffee on our walk frames,it was either that or a "grace break" of 10 mins after IPS which then meant many more cut offs.

If you can have water, why can't you have coffee? What's the difference? What reason, if any, was given for this?ewancurze wrote:Here also WCM has meant the end of Coffee on IPS,however we can have water as long as it is in a sports type bottle to stop spills. Also we are now allowed Coffee on our walk frames,it was either that or a "grace break" of 10 mins after IPS which then meant many more cut offs.

We got a load of shiny new stools after revision, there are more stools than people on IPS.plymouth3 wrote:No drinks and our stools were taken away post revision.

It has to be in an "unspillable" bottle as in the ones with the pop up top, probably unsuitable for hot drink.I may fill mine with cold Coffee just to be a bit "difficult"UnhappyGremlin wrote:If you can have water, why can't you have coffee? They can't deny you having a drink of water with you while working. It's a basic human right,if they stop you drinking water you have a right to complain.

They're bringing it in at our office too. Who thought it up? The revision forum knackers, you know the usual skiving twats, the acting manager, the H&S s rep., the permanently crocked pirate DVD king....them who have a brew permanently welded to their mitt.

It lasted about a week in our office before we all ignored it.
As for stools, we got new stools but they cant be used as we are shoulder to shoulder on IPS due to lack of space!

missing the point slightly i think, it doesn't stop you working if you've got a drink.this is just managers being self important,in the past when they tried it in our office i just said i'll have a drink at my exact finish time everyday.if they can't spare you a few minutes to make a brew, why spare any of your time doing extended

Re: NO DRINKS ALLOWED ON IPS
They did this at Bradford MC. The staff responded by buying those, I think camping mugs, that have a 'lid' on with a small opening to drink through, that I believe can be sealed in between mouthfuls.ewancurze wrote:It has to be in an "unspillable" bottle as in the ones with the pop up top, probably unsuitable for hot drink.I may fill mine with cold Coffee just to be a bit "difficult"UnhappyGremlin wrote:If you can have water, why can't you have coffee? Does the same rule apply to bosses? I realise I just asked a stupid question...
