Postal voting.........
........I wonder if Mr Brown has considered the effect of the present industrial action on postal voting in the event that he calls an election- surely he would not be allowed to call one if a large percentage of voters were unlikely to get their votes in on time - unless he is willing to take a chance that they are all going to vote for the other parties - discuss.
We wish to serve - but we will not be servile

If MR Brown wants to call an early election he needs to announce it Mon/Tues at the latest. This means he will be busy on the phone to Messers Lieghton/Crozier/Hayes/Ward.
My feelings are that Lieghton/Crozier will plead with him not to call an election as it is their intention to scupper the RM,firstly by breaking the union, then privatise it,so they definetly will not agree anything until after Wednesday at the earliest, they'll wait and see if we/us the union panick and cross the picket line.
I just wish/hope people have read and listened to the info that has been made aviable to them, the trouble is a lot of our collegues just can not be bothered to look at the bigger picture and think it'll never happen, well believe me it will and i for one am very concerned about my future and specially my pension.
