The great thing about Britain’s Got Talent is that everybody gets a chance to shine. But for Eddie Shand, his dreams might be beyond his abilities.

The 57-year-old Royal Mail operations manager from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne had aspirations of swapping pictures of the Queen on stamps to singing in front of the real Monarch.

But unfortunately he wasn’t able to deliver to the judges who looked thoroughly unimpressed.

Alesha like Eddie but wasn’t a fan of his singing. She said: “You’re very sweet Eddie but it’s a no today.”

While Simon was his usual cutting self: “Eddie, it’s what I call low rent.”
