Can special leave A be issued for moving house ?

No mate, it has to be Annual Leave or Unpaid Leave. There is an exception to this if it's a compulsory transfer,it comes under the Relocation Policy.

I got 3 days paid in 1990 the lastbtime I moved house

Just been refused special leave A, now been refused special leave C because I have leave left even though its all allocated, there havin a laugh

So I will have to use my leave then book special leave to have annual leave

Hello,

that sounds like 'bolloXXs' to say you can't have Special C. Special leave is for urgent domestic distress, and I'm pretty sure moving house comes under this.

Perhaps they should advise staff each year when annual leave is allocated. "Anyone who might move house next year - please make sure you've chosen the correct dates."

I wonder if taking a grievance out might help, as surely somewhere up the management chain there is more sense.
