It has already been discussed as a possibility, and a Subpostmaster I know thinks it will happen in the next few years.SpacePhoenix wrote:With Post Offices not being part of the RM group now i can't see why they're not allowed to offer services of RM's rivalsHitcher wrote:Less packets delivered = Less Post Offices needed!

Re: Parcels - more or less?
with the price going up this month who put the prices up, some unnamed person decided to increase the price but why.
the parcels and packets were making profits for royal mail so who was the person?. if they stay where they are now what will the next damage to royal mail will they hope to acheive.
its time to name and shame.

Re: Parcels - more or less?
couriers deliver quicker thats why less and less people use royal mail o send parcels ...... no ones going to pay higher rates for a slower services
most first class parcels take 3-5 days by royal
couriers like city link deliver next day

Re: Parcels - more or less?
lincskevin the only reason they work quicker is they have had the good parcels away,as for 3-5days for first class parcels by royal mail that dont happen. i check most of dates on the parcels that come to my office 1-2 days.unless it does not have a full address then may be delayed. if you knew the lenght that royal mail staff go to every day you would not come out with this proposed statement.lincskevin wrote:couriers deliver quicker thats why less and less people use royal mail o send parcels ...... no ones going to pay higher rates for a slower services
