Last D2D payments THIS WEEK!
There is a rumour that royal mail are stopping D2D payments as from this week, so this weeks D2d are the last that you get paid for!
This rumour start this morning in our delivery office and so i questioned the DOM, whether there was any truth in it? HE ANSWERED WITH, "YOU NOW WHAT RM ARE LIKE WITH "Executive Action", so he believes that's RM next little trick of Executive Action"
I hope too high heaven this is just rumour, But like our DOM said. RM, Executive Action in the same sentence!!!!!!
So three weeks without them, then they will start putting them into a nice envelope, with a nice little RM stamp on it, and what have you got?
A big fat money printing machine and the postman shafted again!!

Im not delivering any D2Ds or election materialpickaname wrote:D2D deliveries may have stopped for 3 weeks but could it be the payments have stopped permanently...3 weeks is enough time to get alternative payment arrangements in place...straight into RM's bank account.
without being paid for it, no chance...

this is a good point . . . . . how many times have we been told something is just temporary just to be told later, well it's in place now so we're not changing it. . . . . we're gonna have to keep a real close watch on those D2D payments for a while

i must admit i can't figure this out,why turn business down?
it's a good source of income ,and as the D2D market is managed by TNT ,who's actually calling the shots?
(TNT Post is an official Royal Mail Agent organising and managing every campaign detail )
Nobody as yet can compete with Royal Mail,in it's ability to doordrop media to every household,so it a safe bet to
say we'll get the work back.
cynics will argue,it's another way of hitting the postman in the pocket, but why for 3 weeks?
possibilities...
as rumoured,it would be an opportunity for executive action, and they would be re-introduced into normal workload.
storage space at walk bundling centres to accomadate mail during dispute.
a window to deliver any election material if required.
maybe someone should ask TNT.

Could be Royal Mail exercising DSA and chucking it out to smaller junk mail firms...either that or RM management are totally incompetent by turning down business at a time they need it the most...robd wrote: cynics will argue,it's another way of hitting the postman in the pocket, but why for 3 weeks?

:cfo :lfo They've suspended the d2d because of the backlog of mail the strike will generate!!!!!!!! If your'e not pi****n about with d2d you will be able to do more of the stuff we're supposed to do, i.e. push real mail thru the letter box. Bottom line! No d2d, sooner the backlog goes down. WAKE UP FFS.-------------An informative KWAKrobd wrote:i must admit i can't figure this out,why turn business down?
