Just joined today, heard of this site the other week at work, but didn't get the chance to see the site until now. I live and work in Woking and have been a postie for just over 3 yrs.
The current position that we (Royal Mail postal workers) are at is the same one that I was in when I along with about 280 other workers were made redundant. My former employers closed down the main site and moved everything up North., we were the main site in the UK. It was a big Co, it used to employ around 2000 people back in the 70-80's and the Worldwide HQ was in Woking, for over 100 years!
When I was at my old job we were using a system(?) similar to Worktime Learning... it was called Continuous Improvement. The stage we are now at was just prior to monthly wages, change of contract and hours etc. I'm somewhat concerned as I can see what will more than likely happen, before it does! My old company used C.I. to improve the Company/work etc. To an extent it did this but what with the work climate at the time things didn't work out, it's in the Oil/Gas Industry, and that is cut-throat!
I won't add any more here as this is meant to be an intro..! Just suffice to say I'm not a 'happy bunny' with the way things are going. I for one will be on the picket line, even on my days off, if I have to do so!

Thanks for the replies...
I won't use my work nickname! Suffice to say that if anyone from the Woking office reads this then they may know me from my intro.
My work nickname derives from my ability to get people to think that they have wound me up, and they think I'm getting irate... when in fact I'm winding them up to make them think they're doing it to me! lmaooo

:funneh I take great delight in doing this.... sometimes it even makes my day!

btw when we drop into the pub for a 'cheeky one' AFTER work and people have their phone's 'bluetooth' switched on then my phone is listed with a real 'stand out intro' it's this: Crozier is a *****!

:funneh I think these are great... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> :cfo :lfo <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Bloody hilarious. 10/10 to whoever done these!

We did, on the previous strikes have fun with a ringtone... most of the posties on the line had this on their phones... "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash. We'd play this around the office and also on the picket line too. Wore a bit thin after a while though. Still we'll have to see what we can use for this next strike!
