it was my day off today. saturday just past we were on strike, and yet yesterday when i went in at my normal time 5.30 all i could see was people throwing off work. 70 percent of the office is in by 4.45am. they still rush about like headless chickens use their cars on delivery and as for a meal relief they dont bother. so i wonder what is the point of sending us out leafets explaining to do the job right when you get these people just carrying on as normal and i dont think these idiots realise ,what there actually doing to their own job. royal mail managers must be laughing at us. these people will only learn their mistakes when its too bloody late.

100% not one starts before 5am any body in waits on the news to come on the radio at 5 99% takes the full meal break and around 85% dont use cars result never clearing the office infact 4 days last week failed to acheive USO we will have a backlog before the strikes

Well last week we were told 331 hours to come out of the office and after one day of doing the job properly what do we find?........................managers from all over Fife and 4 new hire vans to dae the cut offs,packets and take lads out on delivery .lets keep it up the pressure on the lads who did take their cars

FT in at 3.55am and PT in 1 and a half hours before they are due to start, all still using cars and carrying overweight bags like donkeys, i reckon about 10 out off 50 are doing it how it should be done, so depressing, Can i name and shame the office??

I know of at least 10 (THERE WILL PROBABLY BE MORE) who will be crossing the line on Friday, most of them union members. I know it is a free country but it is sickening to see them get a escort from management, GUTLESS..........

up date from edinburgh almost every office now doing the jb properly managers dont know what day it is and my office has agreed to take an additional 3 hours strike every saturday bring it on leighton and co.

You are right that it should be up to the individuals to sort themselves out but without a leader or a voice there is just no way to get through. As for doing the job myself, i just do not have the people skills to take the job on, i would chin somebody after the first confrontation. That is why nobody takes the position on, too many idiots to work beside. Being a rep must be the hardest and most thankless task around.

Then of course there is the other side of the coin when reps are less than entusiastic about leading those who would take action - how about meetings, campaign material, literature on local action, one to ones - it isn't all one sided - perhaps some see a bigger picture.
