I started to read it and stopped after the fourth question :lfo is so far removed from "our people" there is no hope of the dispute being resolved.
You know, we're talking about pay but I actually don't think pay is the issue, I also don't think pensions are the issue. I think the real issue here is the modernisation of the company.

It is about pay. It is about Pensions. It is about benefits.

The mail markets are down about 2.5%, 3% in volume,
If it is it hasn't reduced the amount of mail I deliver.
Well 40% of our bulk mail is now handled by our competitors. One in five in every letters in the UK is collected by our competitors.
And 100% is delivered by RM
Well the average gross pay is actually about £440 a week for postmen and actually we've put the pay of postmen up and postwomen up over the last three years by 24, 25%
Where the fcuk does he drag this bullsh*t from? Well :lfo Take a look at my P60's from the last 3 years and if your brain can decipher what your eyes see you will understand what a load of crap you are talking.

Agree. The amount of mail this year has not fallen. To me amd i suspect many more, it feels like levels have risen. So who's telling the truth? The postal worker who knows how heavy a pouch and bags can be or a f***ing suit dressed in pink tie, who's never lifted a pouch in his life? :lfo

WE had one of those RM powerpoint propoganda presentations at our WTL on Tuesday morning - Part of which included a Royal Mail headed timetable for the dates and times we should be out on strike this coming w/end  - Maybe it's just me, but I thought that a bit odd...

First of all ADMIN....there are a load of threads about the strikes being off, perhaps a little housework to put them all in to one.I know admi duties are endless......sorry.

Now if the strikes are called off,i know for a fact it'll p155 a lot of people off,RM have gone out of their way to try and get the staff out on unofficial IA in my office and the only reason they hav'nt walked is because the union have said "hold fire" for the official strike, members have been suspended and we hav'nt been able to support them by withdrawing our labour.

If there is any sniff of a climbdown/sell out by our negiotaging team i fear staff will take matters in to their own hands and walk............does this strike a chord with anyone else.
