Post by thegreatestfreddy »

After this gesture and show of appreciation by one of the Next bosses what is the chance of our own bosses engaging their staff in this way....???...

Just looked at the sky, and there are no pigs flying (except the police helicopter obviously), so....

Even if RM bosses did announce they would give there bonuses to the staff, I'd be willing to bet that it would be the only time in recent years that the top bosses gave themselves a small bonus. :whistle

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

i think royal mail bosses need to see the series called UNDERCOVER BOSS USA... it really shows how bosses are grateful for their employees...... bosses are only human like we all are...

Good point about UNDERCOVER BOSS it would be nice to see Moya on that programme getting a real sense of what her workers on the frontline are doing day and day out as i am sure she either does not appreciate fully what we have to contend with or there is some other agenda!... which is disgraceful really when you consider that in reality we are in fact HM Government Employees !!

There is a very good quote from a famous psychological experiment conducted in the 1960's....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milgram_experiment" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"Ordinary people, simply doing their jobs, and without any particular hostility on their part, can become agents in a terrible destructive process. Moreover, even when the destructive effects of their work become patently clear, and they are asked to carry out actions incompatible with fundamental standards of morality, relatively few people have the resources needed to resist authority."

...makes you wonder why are our immediate line managers feel at ease with some of their own activity if being 'driven' from above doesn't it!!??
