The delivery supplement is a delivery supplement payable to all OPGs who are attached to a delivery unit.
The payment is not for doing D2D.
If it was why would you still receive it when you don't have any D2D, or are off sick or are on holiday?

Perhaps people who think the Delivery Supplement is for doing D2D should give it back when they don't do any.

Taking D2D's into workload in the 2010 agreement was a bad idea because

1- D2D prep was already technically in your workload before the 2010 agreement ( you were ment to prep & deliver them within your duty time )
2- Nobody's delivery was shortened or indoor work cut when the 2010 agreement was brought in, we have all had to absorb MORE D2D work within the existing duty time.
3- the old system paid a larger amount overall to the OPG ( the new payment includes ESA monies )

The fact is that however you want to spin it,

Delivery staff feel SHAFTED

The last few agreements by Billy have seen my workload INCREASE and my takehome pay DECREASE
Nearly every OPG in my unit starts early & skips their break just to finish within duty time.
BT2010 has been a disaster for OPG's

OPG's in the CWU = 97% ( its an insurance policy in case you get into called into the office )
OPG's who trust the CWU to look after their T&C's = 2%

Less work??? U got to be kidding, we are already 2 full time duties short in our office and still lapsing 2 duties every day

First, you misunderstood what I was saying. I made no mention of collection staff working in a delivery office at all, nor did anyone else as far as I can gather. Second, I work in an office with a collection hub, and the collection staff DO NOT get delivery supplement, only the collection supplement. I know delivery supplement isn't related to D2D, I have no idea where you got that impression.
I was merely pointing out that a postie DOES NOT have to do the type of work that the supplement they receive would suggest, for them to be in receipt of it.

For example, in my office, callers office staff get delivery supplement, though they don't deliver a thing, but they are tagged to a delivery function/unit.
The late turn locker staff don't collect anything, but get collections supplement, as they are tagged to that collection function/unit. That is what I was saying.

It's the same as the mail centre supplement I think.

A new (non pensionable) supplement to basic pay to all OPGs/OSGs in Mail Centres, OPGs/OSGs in Collection Hubs (who are not eligible to receive the Delivery Pay supplement)
