Never cross a picket line.

''people cannot afford to strike over two fourty eight hour periods'' I have heard this comment so many times!

Could this possibly be because we are on low wages and the only way we can improve this situation is by striking!

I understand it's not easy but we don't call it ''struggle '' for nothing!

Let's make sure we start up hardship funds - use your Trades Councils, the Public etc.

I'm writing as a branch official of the CWU Gwent Branch. We have today visited the picket line and spoken to the individual rep in question and a number of others on the picket line. We have taken into consideration ALL the facts. We would like it to be known that the CWU rep at the office in question holds the confidence of myself and the other officials and at this moment in time the members he represents.

They have not been loosing out on pay by doing this but encouraging others out to do so.
I get sick of hearing that Union Rep's don't lose any money during a strike and having to say YES they do!!!! What do the rep's have to do to convince you, show you their pay slips every time???
I have lost every strike day from my wages, but not only that I have brought and taken home people attending the picket line who have no car, I have supplied buckets of KFC and takeaways, beers and BBQ's out of my own pocket. I recognise that although we are all paid the same wage, there are some people worse off financially than myself. I will continue to help those worse off than myself, but I am sick to death of having to "prove" that I am losing money to people who just refuse to believe the truth. :no no

i AM APPALLED AT YOUR POST. yOU ARE OBVIOUSLY VERY MISINFORMED MOST OF THE REPS i KNOW HAVE LOST MORE MONEY THAN OTHERS SORTING OUT BARBIES OR GETTING IN THE COFFEES FOR THE PICKET LINES. PEOPLE LIKE YOU REALLY MAKE ME SICK THERE ARE A LOT OF DEDICATED REPS, DON'T TAR US ALL FOR THE FEW BAD ONES
Try sorting out your keyboard. Turn the caps off.

Now, back to the post that I made.

I am not misinformed. My Counters rep was one of the ones doing it. Thats how I know. Seen it with my own eyes. So no misinformation here.

Also I was not tarring anyone. I said SOME. Some means that not all, i.e. there would be a certain amount of reps not taking such action.

Do you understand.

No but you did say some and in fact according to your posts today you only know of only 1. So you have to accept some flack for misrepresentation of the facts as known to you. Also excuse me but he was responding to your argument that some reps have not been loosing money. In a democracy he is allowed to respond without being attacked by you so PLEASE GET IT RIGHT AND DON'T BE SO DEFENSIVE
