Not if it is unsecured. In fact No in every case.

For me its hand to hand nothing else.

I suppose the defence here (and would think a good one) is that the mail has gone through to the same place ; so why would a packet be different?

because you can fairly assume that the house is secure when you put it through a letter box, by opening a porch you have proved its insecure.

As i have told my members if the customer can order the item. They can shut notice it.No matter what instructions they have stuck to the door.

just do it to the book, just go slow and relax, never doorstep sign, just protect yourselves, royal mail wants full timers to make mistakes

the DOM never points the finger at runners or docket kings for not filling in 739's correctly or wrongly delivered items or missed redi's but when a postie does his job properly and by the book he harrassed for being 'too slow' :no no

What about tracked (no sig required) items that clearly say '' Leave in safe place - In shed/outhouse/etc''

These are the only ones I 'doorstep' as it where. Am I giving them rope?
