Postman robbed while delivering mail

ROBBERS made off with mail and parcels after threatening a postman during his rounds.

The 26-year-old man was approached and threatened by a man and a woman while delivering post from his van in St Peter's Close in Burnham, near to the junction with the High Street.

The robbers demanded the mail he was delivering, stealing a bag of mail and a number of parcels, some of which were found discarded in St Peter's Church yard.

The male was described as white, aged between 16 to 19-years-old, slim and between 5ft 9ins - 6ft tall.

The female was described as white, also in her late teens, slim, between 5ft 5ins - 5ft 8ins tall with brown hair in a pony-tail.

Both offenders ran away through St Peter's churchyard after the incident at around 1pm on Monday last week, and may have come back out into High Street.
