The only none management grade is OPG :cuppa

Around 13 years ago with the introduction of the single operational grade or OPG.
The two in your office might be ex-PHGs or they may just have made that bit up but they are definitely not PHGs.

Bloke in out office is referred to by the Manager as "Acting PHG" gets SA rate when he works overtime, and gets a leadership allowance, even though he's s**t at it

Ex-PHGs get a £20 per week reserved rights payment. The OT rates also used to be higher but I think they are pretty much harmonised now
