Name calling is not something one expect from an administrator. If I had called you a 'prat', I am sure you will have acted.

It is best to contribute to the thread; offer an opinion or advise rather than attack others.

Perhaps, if I put you on 'ignore;, you will stop replying to my post cos I would not be able to read from you.

Slap in a grievance .....lol...

sometimes it pays to be brain dead
taking it at a normal or even slow pace doesn't necessarily make you Brain dead
sorry thats not what i meant
going back 20 years when i was on the walks at a DO
there were quite a few braindead / bit thick postmen
who were very slow at throwing out thier walks
and there were some who struggled to know the difference between odd and even numbers
we didnt have modern fittings then and after throwing out we had to place our own walks into numerical order ready for delivery, some colleagues struggled to do this basic task
those with more than half a brain cell got out the office at a reasonable time and had breakfast before 2nd delivery
those who were not the sharpest knife in the drawer were the last to leave the office ,
they had no breakfast and they were the last back to the office for 2nd delivery
same thing would happen again , throwing and placing walk at a snails pace
so inevitably they would go over thier time and book extended delivery
making them the highest earners in the office
and those that just got on with the job and done it properly
would be the lowest earners in the office

therefore sometimes it pays to be brain dead

You are officially corrected. What you were told was crap.
The issue still remains one of having to cooperate with your partner especially if you are not the driver. If you do not drive at all, and your driver refused to take you back, what do you do? This might be exacerbated by the fact that you have claimed that your driver/partner is slow - why would he/she go out of his way to accommodate you?

Some people wants to cut off exactly on time and some might give it perhaps another 30minutes over, it needs sorting out, and that is only best done with cooperation/non-antagonism and/or managerial involvement.

All offices are slightly different, I still maintain that people should not assume that they have definitive answers from some of the contributors here.

Because it's their job.
The default position, the position that all revisions are supposed to be based on is that the OPG finishes work at the office.
It is not a case of the driver "accommodating" anyone,it is a case of the driver doing what they are paid to do.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Can the average Royal Manager actually man-manage/resource-manage paired working and the park and loop delivery method?

They are struggling pre-revision to just get the mail out of the door, now add all sorts of personal conflicts, the different shift hours, different contracts hours and pesky vans breaking down and needing proper maintenance and many more... work load, absence, even lower morale and new products like tracked mail, explosion in Recorded and timed Specials.

I suppose most staff just get on with it... :cuppa
