If they make time on a Tuesday and go home early and do overtime on a Friday, then that overtime should be paid. However on the Tuesday if the manager has told them to come back to the DO until the end of their duty time, they cannot moan if he deducts overtime done on the Friday.

But as we all know in many offices it would not be paid under the unagreed swings and roundabouts system. The first you normally know about it is when you open your payslip. It's nothing short of stealing. It's a disgrace and should be challenged on every incident.
