Ive been here for the last five years and I haventstrangler wrote:Apart from the lie about pay, I`m amazed that he doesn`t think it`s about pensions. Something else that a mate mentioned to me earlier. He said our pay has risen by 25% in last few years. He also says we are 25% overpaid. Errr whose fault would that be Alan????
noticed any huge pay increases like that, more like
25 quid, perhaps it was management that got the 25%?

There were a few rises after the Mail Centre Review, when 30,000 jobs went.piranha wrote:Ive been here for the last five years and I haventstrangler wrote:Apart from the lie about pay, I`m amazed that he doesn`t think it`s about pensions. However I think he`s pushing the 25% just a little bit. I think I`d remember such an increase!

Of course he knows all about the pensions etc. The viewers don't and he doesn't want them to. It's called public relations. Who do we have that can counteract this type of misrepresentation? You can't leave it up to the media because they don't know what questions to ask. The public relations and media officer of the CWU should be making sure all news departments have the full facts, and contact numbers of people willing to be interviewed (ordinary postpeople as well as Union officials; people like to see the real personal side of a story). Is this happening?

Apparently the £440 is taken from figures across the board ie bonuses paid, driving money, allowances etc they add it all up and divide by 52 and thats how they work out we all earn £440 a week. Of course in the real world it's total B*LL*CKS
