Can't wait for this to come in - I suggested the re-implementation of the time and a half rate for overtime in another thread on this years pay increase - I should have suggested double time, because they will have to offer that to deal with the cut offs now lolololol

I really don't think they realise how many people come in early just so they can complete on time, and those that don't take breaks for the same reason. If they think some offices are struggling to complete now then after this they are going to be well and truly in the poop

I'm hoping this isnt just a rumour.
Are senior managers so clueless about the day to day running of a delivery office that they could actually endorse such an idea?

Meal Reliefs - Ensure all staff take part of their meal relief, as scheduled and agreed in their duty structure, prior to commencing outdoor work - this is a legal requirement to ensure the well being of all employees. Ensure meal reliefs are taken to plan off the sorting office floor(where possible).

This is how it should be done all the time, come in for start time, take your full 40 minutes, go out and deliver mail, if u have issues, speak to ur line manager, but do not take it out if u can't complete, don't do overtime unless u want to

Its in a standards document being rolled out in the north east/mid Yorkshire area. Its real as I just gave you a quote or two from it.

please beware though it is also performance related ie so much time to prep so many roads as your pt who comes in on time will now expect and rightly so.
manager also stated to the " i,ll just cut off then " brigade they were just putting up their hands and asking to be performance tested
