Well that may bring a level playing field which has been missing for a long time over a myriad of subjects.

If by level you mean poorer for all.
Perhaps if those without statutory protection had spent more time fighting that they should have it and less time bitching that others shouldn't...it could have been there for all rather than none.

Why are we always happy dragging others back down to this "level playing field" but nobody can be arsed fighting to bring everybody's terms up to the next slightly better "level playing field"?
Sometimes we get exactly what we deserve...f**k all.

Well in order to reach the next plateau you would need to have a united front and whereas those who have are perfectly happy accepting their lot I don't see them shouting too loud to have others enjoy the "perks" too, do you?

spot on Fishtank, as usual . why do the ordinary workers spend so much time attacking each other, it flaming well beggars belief. its not a "perk" as someone else has mentioned, its written in law. workers terms, conditions and rights etc have been hard fought for over time. the elite have conceeded these terms not because they have become nicey , nicey all of a sudden. look at the Tories now ,they are busy taking back as much as they can . quick example the Beecroft report read it here http://www.unionstogether.org.uk/pages/2166/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
every time one of our workers gets one over[ for want of a better phrase] the management/ capitalist elite etc i am happy for them . you should be too. what goes around could possibly come around. no terms or conditions at all , thats it s**t life for everyone.
while i have sympathy for anyone who cant have children [ i cant so we adopted a little girl, counts for family friendly !!] surely they are the future workers while i am sat at home with me feet up enjoying my retirement ?
