The kid that emailed justsay sent me this

Just Say It

Dear Sir Thank you for taking the time to write and for raising your concerns about the service provided in your area. I appreciate the concern you have. Letters and Flats are within the USO and packets are not. If you think you will be having difficulty to complete your delivery, please flag it to the office manager. They will be able to support you by making alternate arrangements such as taking some packets away or even streets or loops away, to ensure a delivery is made. The changes we are going through as a business are difficult for everyone involved, it may involve moving to another work location, a different duty or even being flexible on busy days to complete the delivery. Although, this may be when overtime volunteers are not available. The manager should be made aware of any packets that cannot be delivered, so they can decide on a course of action.

Our Gary,is like our uncle Bob...
Postcomm has decided that the services that make up the universal service that Royal Mail must provide to customers are:

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

When everything eventually becomes trackable management won't be able to pull crap like that as the higher up screws will be able to check the gps to see if the delivery attempt scans were made in the DOs
Can't wait for them to fork out on PDAs for every single posty in the office. As if.

What f***ing comes in must go out anyway!

You wankey managers make me laugh.
I was under the impression that if letters don't go out thats counts towards a failure, whereas parcels don't. Which is why managers often leave packets behind but not letters.

Managers leaving stuff is not wilful delay.
It is a QofS failure.
If they can justify it to their boss they will get away with it,if they can't they won't but it still won't be wilfull delay.
What will cost them their jobs is hiding those failures which is dishonesty but still not wilfull delay.

It isn't even usually wilful delay if a postie leaves mail,it's normally unexcused delay, wilful delay is the most serious charge,a criminal offence and should only apply in cases where staff have dumped mail or taken it home(but not opened it) or generally acted dishonestly with regards to the mail.
The term wilful delay gets thrown about by managers in a completely inappropriate manner in this business.

It's quite sad really.
When i retired i had planned to buy a pub and call it Packet Inn,put my own personal music on the jukebox and sit there getting pissed until it went to the wall.
Parcel Inn makes f**k all sense. :cuppa
:hmmmm How about Cockwell Inn?.................and if you had a mind to you could move south to Tillett, Herts. :angel

As a soldier when new recruits arrived we would offer them the chance to write to a young lady called Mary Lykes from that very address and it was a test to see how quick witted they were - you'd be amazed how many actually wrote to her. :chuckle :chuckle
