Of course no postie would make sure that any of their customers who keep complaining about the D2Ds to them, would always get some of the excess the following week. Of course they wouldn't then inform the customer that the manager had told them to do this. It would be amazing if they also advised them to call Customer Services - can't see it happening.

Yep I would never encourage any postie to do something that could potentially reveal bad manager working practises and decisions.

We were told it will decline as part of the Big Picture.
Less indiscriminate marketing is the future, but they still want to increase our share of what market remains.
So although there might be less D2D, we might be doing more.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Really? Then the fact that there are more D2Ds would hence create more jobs using that theory, but it hasn't.

Door to Door has grown to an average of 4.5 , however the real reality is that the growth in door to door is specific to certain areas the Thames Valley has seen some of the biggest growth whereas some areas are still on one item per week.

The other factor is that quality on door to door is poor RFID showed between 40 to 60% . Royal Mail have stopped offices returning surplus door to door until a new accounting system has been introduced. The Walk Bundling centre has been investigated and now the A PLUS is going to now be look into. Some of the problem is that under the old system on price per item some walk holders would deliver 3 seperate door to door items to one address based on a, b and c households and under the new system some will just deliver the one through the front door hence why there is big surplus. Equaly managers when they put in absorption plans don't get the door to door delivered.

Door to door and addresses and unaddressed mail is predicted to grow hence why Royal Mail have set up the media company.

Probably one of the reasons is that the revisions are still only half way through and some offices will still be working on the old system. What I don't understand is your assertions that managers are not ensuring D2D are being delivered, postmen are only delivering 1 of 3 (?) and that the method of accounting was inadequate - all this 3 years into the deal of the century?

So why did my planner insist on an average of the past twelve month for us that gives 2 per week.

And why does the dsm lie to Dom and say d2d items are counted when we know they are weighed :cuppa
