Hello

Post by Abyss111 »

Hi all, just discovered this site,I`m looking around to see if the loonys have come to an arrangement over the weekend.

I agree with the principles of the original strike, but after nearly 20 years at the P.O. I`ve come to the conclusion they really do no good.

Work to rule, overtime bans etc get the message over without losing us posties 100`s of pounds in wages.

Also if we lose the support of the customers, then we are shooting ourselves in the foot.

Ok rant over,I look forward to reading your comments etc.

Have you read 'People of the Abyss' by Jack London? That's the future for us if Royal Mail and the government win.

ImageAbyss111. Yes the feeling on here was have a WTR but as they did not ballot over it we cant do it. However, nowt to stop you doing it.

I fully support the strike but I think it was a strategic error by the Union not to start with WTRs. I do get the impression though that for some reason the CWU don't like or agree with them, and I still can't get my head round that.

abyss111 hello and welcome to the site, i know what you mean but i think we have lost a lot of customer support already, the service or lack of it that we have been providing recently has upset a lot of people on the street and after some of the things my customers tell me i dont blame them and big business has jumped to dsa in droves
